Day 1 to 5 - Maun, Okavango Delta
Upon arrival in Maun we conduct a walk to a local village
for an insight into how the local inhabitants cope in these
harsh desert like conditions. The next day we travel to
our remote camp in the Okavango Delta where we spend three
nights in true wilderness, exploring the area on foot and
by mokoro. There will be an opportunity of an optional
a flight over the delta before elaving the area (subject
to availabiity).
Days 6 to 10 - Moremi Game Reserve,
Savuti, Chobe National Park
We spend a full five days traversing the remote game plains
of Moremi, Savuti and Chobe on our way to Victoria Falls.
Moremi is an area ideal for morning and afternoon game drives
along the wetland areas. Savuti offers a multitude of eco-systems
to explore. The vegetation is constantly changing from open
plains, palm trees and marshland to dense Mopane woodlands.
Chobe is famous for its large herds of Elephant which gather
on the flood plains of the majestic Chobe River.
Day 11 to 12 - Victoria Falls
Victoria Falls, 'Mosi o Tunya' as the locals call it (translated,
the smoke that thunders) is one of the wonders of the world
and we have time here to enjoy a myriad of activities this
watery playground has to offer. In this wonder world there
are other places to visit and activities to be enjoyed
- the tribal village, the big tree, the curio market and
crocodile farm, aircraft or microlight flight over the
falls, a boat trip on the mighty Zambezi River, white water
rafting, bungy jumping and gorge swing. We spend two nights
at the falls and eat out at local restaurants for the two
dinners (own expense). Relax to the sound of the African
night and the distant roar of the falls and drink to toast
to your adventure.
Day 13 - Victoria Falls
The last day in Victoria Falls where this tour ends. |
