Day 1 - 3, Cairo, Pyramids and Sphinx
On arrival in Cairo you will be transferred from the airport to your hotel, before enjoying a full day’s sightseeing to the Pyramids, Sphinx and the Saqqara Step Pyramid, the oldest pyramid in Egypt. The sight of these extraordinary structures rising out of the desert is spectacular. The following day is free for you to explore the other highlights of Cairo, including the world-famous Egyptian Museum, the Citadel of Salah el Din, and bargaining in the Khan el Khalili bazaar; or take an optional city tour before the overnight first class train to Aswan.

Day 4 - 6, Aswan, Nile Cruise, East Bank Antiquities
In Aswan, we visit the Temple of Philae located on an idyllic river island. You also have the option of flying down Lake Nasser to see the incredible statues of Rameses II at Abu Simbel. From Aswan, we board a traditional Nile cruise boat and drift down the Nile past villages frozen in time. We visit the riverside temple of Kom Ombo and the magnificent Temple of Horus at Edfu.

Day 7 - 8, Luxor - Cairo
In Luxor we visit Karnak,the largest temple complex in Egypt. The following day we cross the Nile to explore many of the West Bank antiquities, including the famous Valley of the Kings where the richly decorated tombs of many Pharaohs are cut into solid rock. We fly back to bustling Cairo where our tour finishes. .
