Keep your color scheme simple, accessories to a bare minimum, and do not bring good jewellery.

All clothing should be easy maintenance wash and wear; light but durable fabrics and keep to a fairly neutral color palette so you can mix and match. Laundry facilities may be available at many camps and lodges (own cost.)

 
10 Essentials
Everyday bag (In transit it will hold all the valuables you need to keep close:
tickets, camera, prescription medication, and reading material etc.)
First Aid Kit (A compact travel health kit is a must.)
Passport/money carrier (It is essential to keep passport and money secure.)
Travel watch/alarm (Lightweight, water resistant and reliable.)
Pocketknife (Basic blade, can/bottle opener, scissors, tweezers and corkscrew -
must be packed in checked luggage or leave at home.)
Electrical converter/adapter
Flashlight
Travel organizer (For identification, tickets, receipts & addresses)
A well-thought out approach for the average amount of personal gear and a positive attitude.
