Language - Swahili and English are spoken.
Climate - The climate is tropical.
June to September is the cooler season while the hottest months
are between October and February.
Adventure - Stretching from volcanic
highlands to the spice island of Zanzibar - Tanzania is the
Africa of your wildest dreams. Here lie the vast Serengeti
plains, Ngorongoro Crater and the more southerly parks the
Ruaha and the Selous. It is the place to see endless herds
of wildebeest and zebras trekking across the plains on their
annual migrations - followed by the predators: lion, cheetah
and hyena. It's elephant country too, boasting some of the
largest remaining populations in Africa. It is also home to
Jane Goodall and the chimpanzees which she has helped to make
famous - and which are now so rarely seen in the wild.
Tanzania boasts beautiful
beaches: - hundreds of miles of palm-fringed sands; its lakes
are huge and untouched by the great masses of tourists. Present-day
Tanzania offers the visitor the opportunity to explore vast
and diverse lands with few of the hardships and all of the
adventure of those who have travelled before. The lodges and
camps are mostly small, but very comfortable, and each offers
its own distinct character with personal service.
